Check spelling and grammar

  1. Open a Word document that needs to be checked.
  2. On the Review tab, in the Proofing group, click Spelling & Grammar.
  3. In the Spelling and Grammar dialog box appears, and the first recommended alteration is highlighted.
  4. Use the following buttons to check your spelling and grammar:

Ignore Once Ignore this word once, but check it again.

Ignore All Ignore this word throughout the document.

Ignore Rule Ignore this rule throughout the document.

Next Sentence Check the next sentence.

Add to Dictionary Include this word in the program's dictionary.

Change Use the suggested word in the Suggestions pane.

Explain See an explanation for the suggested change.

Change All Use the suggested word to change all instances of this word.

Change All Use the suggested word to change all instances of this word.

AutoCorrect Use the first suggested word each time you click AutoCorrect.

Check grammar Select to correct the grammar in this document.

Undo Undo the change. Continue clicking for previous corrections.

Options The Options dialog box appears. Select how the program corrects spelling and grammar for all documents.


Creat a Form

Step 1: Set up Word for creating forms
1. Click the Microsoft Office Button , and afterward click Word Options.
2. Click Popular.
3. Select the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon check box, and then click OK.
Guidelines The Ribbon is a component of the Microsoft Office Fluent user interface.
Step 2: Open a template or a document on which to base the form
1. Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click New.
2. Under Templates, click My templates.
3. Double-click Normal, and then click Template or Document under Create New.
4. Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Save As.
5. In the Save As dialog box, give the new template or document a file name, and then click Save.
Step 3: Add content controls to the form

Design the form by sketching a layout first, or use an existing form as a guide. In your form, you can add content controls, tables, and other graphics elements.
On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Design Mode, and then click where you want to insert a control.

Step 4: Set or change properties for content controls
Each content control has properties that you can set or change. For example, the Date Picker control offers options for the format you want to use to display the date.
1. Right-click the content control that you want to change.
2. Click Properties, and change the properties that you want.
Step 5: Add instructional text to the form
Instructional text can enhance the usability of the form you create and distribute. You can change the default instructional text in content controls.
To customize the default instructional text for your form users, do the following:
1. On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Design Mode.

Insert page number

1. On the Insert tab, in the Header & Footer assembly, click Page Number.

1. Click Top of Page or Bottom of Page, depending on where you want page numbers to show in your file.
2. Choose a page number design from the gallery of design.
Note If you don't see a gallery of page number designs, there might be a problem with the Building Blocks template on your computer. See I don't see galleries of page numbers, headers and footers, cover pages, or equations for information about how to fix this problem.

Insert a text watermark

Watermarks can be view only in Print Layout and Full Screen Reading views and on the printed page.
You can insert a predesigned watermark from a gallery of watermark text, or you can put in a watermark with custom text.

Imperative
1. Do one of the following:
• Click a predesigned watermark, such as Confidential or Urgent, in the gallery of watermarks.
• Click Custom Watermark, click Text watermark and then select or type the text that you want. You can also format the text.
2. To view a watermark as it will become visible on the printed page, use Print Layout view.

How to print a document (MS Word 2007)

1. Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Print.
Imperative If you don't see the Microsoft Office Button , click Print on the File menu.
Keyboard shortcut To show the Print dialog box, press CTRL+P.

2. Click the options that you want, such as the number of pages or which pages you want to print.

Guidelines apply to programs that use the Microsoft Office assured user interface: To print without using the Print dialog box, click the Microsoft Office Button , point to the arrow next to Print, and then click Quick Print.
